to me India is the ultimate and perfect destination to truly free your mind from everyday routine..
Home to the world’s second largest population, it is an exceptionally diverse country with a culture that changes every 6 miles. A trip to India is a trip through history, tradition and culture, and a spectacle of unity in diversity.

The incredible wildlife

India has a very rich and diverse wildlife. The country boasts many beautiful national parks. Tourists can go on wildlife-watching excursions to see tigers, elephants, rhinos and many more exotic animals. Notable parks include Ranthambore, Pench and Bandhavgarh.

Beautiful hiking trails

If you love hiking then India is the perfect place for you. This country is a hiker’s paradise and there are a good number of hiking trails in The Himalayas. Not an experienced hiker? Not a problem! The trails are not just for experts as varying levels of difficulty allow this activity to be accessible to all. Some of the most scenic hiking trails include Roopkund in Uttarakhand, Pin Parvati Pass in Himachal Pradesh and Hemkund and Valley of Flowers in Garhwal.

Boat rides in Varanasi

Varanasi is considered to be a holy place in India. The best way to explore this fascinating place is to take an early morning boat ride down the Ganges and watch the sunrise.

Indian Architecture

Indian architecture has evolved through countless centuries due to the influence of different rulers and civilisations. A popular area with beautiful architecture is The Ajanta Caves in Aurangabad district of Maharashtra state. The caves consist of 30 rock-cut Buddhist cave monuments which date from the 2nd century BCE to about 480 or 650 CE. The caves include paintings and sculptures that figure the Buddha and depict the Jakata tales.

The amazing food

Indian cuisine is delicious and available all over the world. However, there’s nothing quite like going there and tasting it for yourself. India offers an amazing range of food and there are many regional dishes to be discovered. Some popular dishes are Rogan Josh, Dosa and Naan Bread.

The beaches

Does relaxing on the beach, reading a book and soaking up the sun sound like your cup of tea? Then India’s the place for you because the beaches are where it’s happening. The best Indian beaches can be found on the west coast. Indian beaches are scenic and the variety ranges from beaches that calm are calm and quiet to popular party beaches.


The Tea


India is one of the largest tea growers in the world. Stroll through one of the many tea plantations in the morning and observe the wildlife. The spectacular scenery of the Himalayan foothills can be seen in some of the plantations. If you consider yourself to be a tea lover take the opportunity to stay on a tea estate and tour the tea factories.

The music

Music is a very important part of Indian culture and Indian music comes with a wide range of traditions and regional styles. There are dozens of music festivals in India that cater for both an Indian and an international audience

Festivals

India is renowned for the non-stop festivals that run throughout the year. Some of these festivals are religious, others celebrate the seasons and some are about well-known Indian stories. Notable festivals are The Diwali Festival of Light and The Holi Festival of Colour .

The people

There’s nothing quite like Indian hospitality and being able to meet and engage with the local people would add a unique edge to your holiday. Indian locals are known for being warm and hospitable. In India you are likely to be invited into the homes of people you interact with.

The chaos

We’ve all heard about how mad and chaotic India can be but there’s nothing quite like experiencing it for yourself. Step out onto the streets and you will see cows roaming freely, rickshaws and people everywhere, especially in the cities. Embracing the chaos would give you a very open and genuine experience of India.

Indian dance is very expressive and a large part of India’s history, culture and religion. Dance forms like Kathakali, Bharatnatyam, Kathak have been recommended to check out while visiting India.
